What Classics Market is — and isn’t
Classics Market is an editorial publication covering the European classic and future-classic car market. We write about cars for sale on third-party portals.
What we are not:
- We are not a marketplace or classifieds site.
- We are not a broker or intermediary between sellers and buyers.
- We do not sell cars ourselves and we do not take custody of them.
- We do not take commission from the portals we cover or from the sellers of the cars we feature.
We link to listings on third-party portals. Any transaction is between you and the seller — we are not a party to it.
The editorial content
Each article we publish reflects the listing at the time of publication. Portal listings expire, cars get sold, prices are adjusted, sellers occasionally rewrite descriptions. We do not update articles to track those changes. Treat every article as a snapshot in time.
Our commentary is editorial opinion, not investment advice, not purchase advice, and not a professional appraisal. Any statement about a car’s condition, value, rarity, or future collectability is our journalistic view, based on publicly available information and, where noted, additional research. Read our pieces as reasoned opinion, not as a recommendation to buy.
Editorial opinion and factual accuracy
Our commentary on specific cars — condition, spec, market position, price commentary, seller narrative — is editorial opinion based on the publicly-displayed content of the source listing and, where noted, independent research at the time of writing. Our characterisations reflect the editorial judgment of Classics Market and should be read as journalistic assessment, not as verified factual statements about matters we cannot personally inspect.
If you are a seller and believe we have misstated a fact about your car, or characterised your listing in a way you consider unfair or defamatory, please write to blog@classics.market. We take corrections seriously, publish them where warranted, and adjust or take down articles where the concern is substantiated.
Minimum age
Classics Market is intended for adults. By using the site — reading articles, subscribing to a paid service, or contacting us — you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, please do not use the site.
Before you buy anything
Before committing to any car featured on Classics Market — or any car anywhere — we always recommend:
- A professional pre-purchase inspection by a mechanic familiar with the model.
- Verification of the car’s history, ownership documents, and service records.
- Physical inspection in person before payment.
Classics Market is not responsible for the accuracy of any information in a source listing, for the condition of any car featured, or for the outcome of any transaction. You buy at your own risk.
Intellectual property
Editorial content. All written articles on Classics Market are the copyright of Bartosz Garliński Koncept. You may quote reasonable excerpts with attribution and a link back to the source article. You may not republish full articles without permission.
Images. The images accompanying articles are cropped from screenshots of the source portal listings. This use is editorial — for reporting on the listings themselves. The original photograph copyrights remain with the sellers who took the photos.
Brand names and trademarks referenced in articles remain the property of their respective owners.
Takedown procedure
If you are a rights holder — the seller who took a photograph, or a person or entity claiming a name or trademark has been misused — and you would like content removed from the site, e-mail blog@classics.market with the subject line “Takedown request” and include:
- The URL of the article or page containing the disputed content
- A description of the specific content you are asking us to remove or edit (which image, which passage)
- A statement of your rights (e.g. “I am the seller who took this photograph”, “this is a registered trademark I hold”)
- Your contact information (name and reply-to e-mail)
- A good-faith declaration that the request is not fraudulent
We aim to acknowledge takedown requests within 72 hours and act on substantiated requests within 7 days. We may take content down promptly while we assess a request. We are not obliged to act on requests that are clearly abusive, incomplete, or made in bad faith.
No scraping or bulk republication
You may not:
- Access the site through automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers), except standard search-engine indexing that respects
robots.txt. - Systematically download, copy, or archive substantial portions of our content — whether manually or automatically.
- Republish our articles in whole or as substantial excerpts on other sites, in newsletters, or in aggregators.
- Build a competing service, dataset, or feed using our editorial output as a source.
The curated selection of listings and their editorial treatment on Classics Market constitutes a database within the meaning of Article 7 of Directive 96/9/EC (sui generis database rights) and the Polish Act of 27 July 2001 on the Legal Protection of Databases (ustawa o ochronie baz danych). Unauthorised extraction or reuse of substantial parts of that database — whether by content or by systematic accumulation of small parts — is prohibited.
Access to the site
The blog is currently free to read. There is no login. Article comments are disabled.
Newsletter (when launched)
Classics Market plans to launch a paid subscription newsletter in future. When it launches:
- The subscription will be paid. Pricing and terms will be published on the subscription page.
- Payment will be processed by Zanfia as our third-party payment provider. Their terms and privacy policy apply to payment handling.
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period.
- No refunds for partial periods, unless required by consumer-protection law.
Consumer withdrawal (EU consumers). If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal after subscribing to a paid service. However, because the newsletter begins delivering value immediately (access to editorial content that would lose its time-value if delayed), by starting your subscription you explicitly consent to the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that once we begin providing the content, you lose your right of withdrawal. This is consistent with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.
Taxes. Prices displayed for paid subscriptions include Value Added Tax (VAT) applicable to your country of residence, where we are required to charge it under EU one-stop-shop (OSS) rules. For business customers who provide a valid EU VAT number at checkout, the reverse-charge mechanism may apply and the price will be shown net of VAT.
Until the newsletter launches, no subscription is offered.
Service availability and interruptions
We aim to keep the site available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Service may be unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance or upgrades
- Outages at third-party providers (hosting, CDN, analytics, mailing)
- Events beyond our reasonable control — force majeure including natural disasters, war, pandemic, government action, internet infrastructure failure, or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
We are not liable for any consequences of such interruptions, and no refund is due for short interruptions to a paid service (see the newsletter section for material outage refund logic when the newsletter is launched).
No warranties
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability.
Nothing on the site constitutes a warranty about the condition, provenance, mechanical soundness, mileage accuracy, or investment value of any car featured. Cars are chosen for editorial interest, not endorsed.
Nothing in this section excludes warranties that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer-protection law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Classics Market’s aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 100.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including missed opportunities on cars that were sold before you contacted the seller, or losses tied to transactions we merely reported on.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be legally excluded, including for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Classics Market and its operator (Bartosz Garliński Koncept) against any claims, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your infringement of any third-party rights (intellectual property, privacy, publicity)
- Your use of automated tools to access the site in violation of the “No scraping” section above
This obligation survives termination of your use of the site.
Third-party portals
Links to third-party listings (Otomoto, Mobile.de, AutoScout24, Marktplaats, Leboncoin, La Centrale, and others) are provided as references. We have no control over those portals or the accuracy of their content. Their own terms of service and privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Polish law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the site or these Terms will be resolved by the courts of Wrocław, Poland — competent for our registered office.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Notices and communication
Legal notices to Classics Market should be sent to blog@classics.market — and, for matters relating to personal data, to privacy@classics.market. Formal service by post can be made to our registered office (address at the top of these Terms).
Notices from us to you will be delivered:
- To the e-mail address you have provided (for subscribers)
- By publication on the site (for anonymous visitors and for changes to these Terms)
Right to modify or discontinue the service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the site or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. If we discontinue a paid service that you have prepaid, we will refund the pro-rated portion of any fees you have paid for the unused period, except where you have breached these Terms.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Substantive changes will be noted at the top of this page with the “Last updated” date. For subscribers, we will notify by e-mail if changes materially affect the paid service. Continued use of the site after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a competent court, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if that is not possible, severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Classics Market regarding your use of the site. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings on the same subject.
Language
These Terms are drawn up in English. If a translation is provided for convenience at any point in future, the English version prevails in the event of any inconsistency.
